It all begins from within

It has been a while since I posted online. Not that I was too busy as usual, but I had no idea what to write. I doubted my blogger spirit; where did my ideas go? But one fine day, I came across a photograph that clicked with me.

The Ray of Hope

Looking at it for a quite long time, a thought popped into my mind. How old this gate might be? Did Alauddin Khilji really pass through this gate? (yes!). Was queen Padmavati really that beautiful? Then there are times when we are totally hopeless or perhaps clueless about life. With thoughts of regret running inside our minds every night, we think that life is becoming non-productive and worthless... I need to increase my value. But how? And sleep enters in. Zzz will discuss it tomorrow, says the self. Another night, and again those typical kinds of thoughts filled with regret, melancholy and despair. Everyone around me is raising at some point...where am I? Nowhere... I've no identity of my own. Zzz, it's okay bro, will sort this out tomorrow. And tomorrow comes never.

Now, understand what exactly is happening above?

Procrastination-

pro-cras-ti-na-tion |prəˌkrastəˈnāSHən, prō-|
noun
the action of ruining your own life for no apparent reason

Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious. Too big to read that you haven't even read the entire word and you were like super-cali-fraaa- leave it..? Sounds similar to my problems. Too difficult to sort out that I begin with an intention, open forty-five tabs in Google so that I can't even see their icons, add some fancy items that I'm never gonna buy, in my amazon wishlist... creating a stressful situation, shutting down the laptop and then zzzz.! The poor sleep pops in. But who made them that big? Me. Yea, claps and cheers! So elegant in its simplicity.

So how to get rid of this demon? First of all, stop talking like those fake motivational speakers and saying every time, " Stop procrastinating." It's just like listening to some motivational "Great-Bollywood" songs just because it is your temporary stress buster.

So what is the solution?

The one who procrastinates (including me, you and everyone except those few wise people) loves planning, making so many to-do lists, and timetables are the best ones because all this doesn't involve doing. Though I am not a perfectionist, I've some nice tricks that I too follow to fight this devil.

1. Accepting reality and creating an artificial panic just to fool your mind might help you to perform your work before the deadline. For example, if you wanna begin a startup of your own, quit your job. Doing this will give room to panic which is the greatest enemy of procrastinators. Hence, your work will be done beforehand.

2. Minimize distractions by all necessary means. If it's your mobile, put it in aeroplane mode and if it is your television, just sell it.

3. Last but not least, tell your friends or family members about your goal and ask them to scold or make you feel bad, whenever you go off the track. Some intelligent people might find it counterproductive, but again, it depends mostly on your situation more than anything else.

Summing up, I would like to say that it all begins from within, no external forces can make you work wholeheartedly, until and unless you don't wanna do it.
